Relive the inspiring moments from the UCSI Schools’ Inaugural 21st Century Teaching & Learning Symposium!

Symposium 2023 marked a groundbreaking chapter in our educational journey as over 200 passionate teachers and educators from the UCSI Schools community gathered for a day filled with enlightenment and collaboration under the theme “Developing Future Leaders and Inspiring Global Citizens through 21st-Century Education”

The symposium served as a vibrant platform for our teaching and learning community to share best practices, celebrate achievements, and engage in discussions about cutting-edge methodologies. Our goal? To enrich the student learning experience and strengthen our commitment to delivering 21st-century education.

The day’s agenda featured a line-up of insightful sessions:

🔹 Keynote Speech: Associate Professor Ts Dr. Tan Wee Hoe set the tone with an inspiring opening address.

🔹 Deep Learning Framework: Dr. Azma Abdul Hamid explored the significance of the 21st Century Learning Design (21CLD).

🔹 Microsoft Teams Journey: Mr. Iskandar Zulkarnain bin Mumtaz Ahmad and Mr. Joshua Raj took us through Sekolah Sri UCSI Subang Jaya’s Microsoft Teams journey.

🔹 Data Management: Mr. Leong Min Zhi demonstrated how data management reaches new heights with Microsoft Solutions.

🔹 Computational Thinking Skills: Mr. Iain Slade delved into the challenges and rewards of teaching computational thinking skills.

🔹 Enhancing English Proficiency: Mdm. Tan Lee Yin discussed how Microsoft’s Reading Progress improves English proficiency and fosters collaborative learning.

🔹 Microsoft Showcase Migration: Mr. Dilclint Bin Jahia shared UCSI International School Subang Jaya’s migration towards Microsoft Showcase and its impact on teaching and learning.

🔹 EdTech Integration Roadmap: Mr. Atlas Matthew David outlined the roadmap for effective EdTech integration.

Beyond being a conference, our symposium was an opportunity to reaffirm our core values, address challenges, and celebrate innovations in teaching and learning.
