Jageish Umaanath, a registered psychologist with the British Psychological Society, brings nearly 400 hours of supervised counselling experience to his role as a school counsellor. Formerly a sound engineer, Jageish knows a thing or two about listening. Turning his ear to the human condition, offering a compassionate and collaborative approach to mental health and well-being has been his pursuit over the last 5 years. With a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existentialism, Jageish is committed to creating a safe and supportive space for students to explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Jageish gained valuable insights into the unique needs of students and the importance of creating a nurturing environment during his time at Dignity for Children Foundation, Monash University’s Counselling, Health & Wellness and Re:Mind Psychology Center. He is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.
