Kimberly Ong is a passionate educator with a deep commitment to personalized learning. She holds both a Diploma and a Bachelor’s in Education from Taylor’s University, graduating with First Class Honours, and has taught in international schools in Malaysia and Japan. Kimberly has contributed to the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) accreditation process, supporting schools in aligning their curricula with global standards.
Kimberly integrates her extensive network and real-world experiences into her lessons. Drawing on her work with animal welfare and environmental NGOs, including coral reef conservation and marine mammal protection, she brings global environmental issues into the classroom, helping students make meaningful connections to real-world challenges. Her involvement in training teachers of refugees also allows her to introduce diverse perspectives, enriching students’ understanding of global education issues.
Her teaching philosophy centers on international mindedness, creating an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to think critically, explore different cultures, and develop empathy. Outside of teaching, Kimberly enjoys unwinding with games on the PC and Nintendo Switch. She is also passionate about the outdoors and sea sports, spending time with her ‘fish friends’ on remote tropical islands.
