Sathia began his teaching career while he was still an Engineering undergraduate, coaching high school students in Mathematics. Eventually, he taught IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics in an international school in Kuala Lumpur before moving to an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. Sathia is passionate about teaching IB Physics and Mathematics especially when it comes to connections and applications of Science and Mathematics in real life. Apart from teaching, he is a movie buff and loves hanging out or travelling with his friends. His engineering background however, made him passionate about teaching Mathematics and Physics. He teaches these subjects through inquiry and “connecting the dots”. He believes in changing the perceptions of students and enable them to experience a paradigm shift towards these subjects, if they are able to see how it is  relatable to their life and the world around them. The IB education philosophy has facilitated him in achieving this better. As an IB educator for the past 8 years, he could also see how his students are growing to be natural enquirers, critical thinkers and be more open minded towards their learning curve. His ultimate aim is to ensure students realise that they can apply what they learn inside the classroom to the real world outside …one student at a time.
