Meet Our IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator

MS AMIRA DZULKAFLI

Amira Dzulkafli, a founding staff member of UCSI International School Springhill, takes pride in her identity as an international-minded educator, showing genuine care for her students and extending her support beyond the classroom. Her extensive experience within the IB framework extends beyond the school, being an active part of the IB Educators Network (IBEN) as a member of the school visit team, workshop leader, and examiner. The insights she has gained from her involvement with IBEN are seamlessly integrated into the school’s ethos. Her commitment to the IB’s mission to empower young individuals with the values, knowledge, and skills for a more peaceful world aligns harmoniously with the school’s core objective of providing holistic education. This education aims to nurture students into knowledgeable and responsible global citizens of the 21st century. In her role as an IB educator, Amira dedicates herself to fostering international-mindedness among both students and teachers. The IB education framework encourages students to embrace their language, culture, and global perspectives, while also motivating them towards global engagement and meaningful community service. This encourages students to critically reflect on their roles and potential actions, contributing to meaningful change for a more peaceful and sustainable world. Outside school hours, Amira finds joy in arts and crafts, specifically crocheting and knitting, as her preferred methods of relaxation. Additionally, she is an enthusiastic traveller, finding it an opportunity to explore, broaden her perspectives, and further develop resilience and self-organisation skills.
